Horrible stuff- carbs (simple carbs- complex made me ill) soda, sour candy and ginger candy from the Chinese store.
Other than that, I had diclectin from the dr- but, I still had nausea for the full terms of all my pregnancies. Stick to small amounts of food- juice was NOT my friend.
Katy - Stay away from our morning/all day sickness club. Spearmint gum is my friend, but you can only chew it for about a minute. Ginger ale both flat and with bubbles. The bubbles help get the air build up out. Pretty much what would work one week doesn't work the next so it is trial and error. Good Luck!
No experience with morning sickness here, but my doctor did say that it helps to eat a handful of nuts (peanuts, almonds, cashews, whatever you like) when/if you get up in the middle of the night to pee. He said this helps keep your blood sugar up and you won't wake up starving since nuts are high in protein. Maybe that will work for you? GL!
OK, so I was really weird. But none of the normal stuff worked for me. Saltines and Sprite made me even more sick. I ate carbs! My DH told me I ate like a college guy. I wanted crap like potato skins all the time. And for some odd reason Mexican food. I used to get up and drink a glass of V8 juice first thing in the morning and then I would feel good enough to actually eat. Those Carnation Instant Breakfast drinks were good too. I also really liked Jolly Ranchers.
My biggest piece of advise is eat what sounds good. It might seem weird but if it sounds good to you it will probably help. Hope it gets better soon!
Ice cold water, constantly.... and add some lemon. My OB told me to go get B6 at CVS, 25-50mg... and take it at 8am, 2pm and 8pm. Worked like a charm. I had constant nausea all day, it just finally has started to go away. Sour never worked for me, ginger ale was good though. I never threw up, but the all day nausea is pretty nasty. Good luck!

B6 worked for me also for all day nausea (which was miserable to put it mildly). I took 25 mg twice a day through a supplement called Morning sickness magic that I picked up at a health food store. If you can find B-natal lollipops/candies that has the right amount of B6 also (and is what my OB recommended but I couldn't find it). Ginger ale worked great for me but sprite, my NORMAL stand by for upset tummy/nausea made things worse. Sour candies didn't do anything for me but made things worse, especially grapefruit flavor (which I detest) so preggo pops and candies were a waste of money. Yogi Lemon Ginger tea was also helpful. I finally started eating what I was craving (since they weren't too bad) and that helped for whatever reason. I'm sure having the protein in my stomach helped. Unless you're craving dirt, go with what your body tells you to eat. And eat smaller portions (which you may have to anyway, I know I did b/c I just got fuller faster) more often to keep your blood sugar constant.

This was my saving grace. I would also say try and eat every hour to 1.5 hours. Keeping something on your stomach at all times really helps. I think I hit week 16 and it finally stopped - even though I am still taking meds to control it. I know it isn't easy, but it does get better. Whatever you do, get your liquids in and don't end up in the ER like me. GL!

Sour stuff! I forgot about that. I'll have to run out and get some Sour Patch Kids. Kimberly told me that once before and I forgot. Thanks Sara.
I'm not nearly sick enough for meds yet, thank goodness. I hope I don't get that bad.

IDK why, but sour, ginger and soda were the trifecta for about 99.9% of my friends.
i would drink sprite, small sips, eat peanut butter on crackers, and plain ritz chips.
like eleise said try to get some protein too, hang in there i know it is tough!
