DH's say the darndest things

So, yesterday DH and I were driving to the grocery store to pick up some things for dinner and he turns to me and says: "So when do you want to start trying for #2?" I just stared at him like a deer in the headlights. I'm only just in my 2nd tri and he's itching to knock me up again. Oh dear. I don't think I realized quite how bad his baby fever is. Maybe having a newborn in the house will cool his jets a little. Haha.

    I got "so you'll get your tubes tied after #2, right?"  No, dear.  You are perfectly welcome to rock a vasectomy after #2 if you wish.

    Wow, yeah DH has totally volunteered to be the one to get "fixed". He said that since I'm the one who has to go through the physical parts of pregnancy and birth, the least he can do is be the one who steps up and gets the vasectomy.

    DH has also already suggested Lipo as "something to think about" after the baby.  He's a prince.

    I am already planning #2 but DH wants to see how #1 works out. Like the kid is some sort of car with a return policy. Gotta love him!

    My DH said something similar a couple of weeks ago.  He tried to say "just kidding," but I know he wasn't. 

    I know we both want at least two kids, but we've also talked about seeing how #1 goes before getting too far ahead of ourselves. : )

    Exactly! I just got over m/s and the exhaustion, I'm going to need to be far enough out that I can't remember how bad they are before I can volunteer myself to go through that while caring for a baby.

    I wish my computer would let me do the smiley's so I could do the one with wide eyes and a line for a mouth.  I think in my case, I would flat out punched him.  Yikes.

    DH and I had agreed that if this a girl we were done and that has been the plan since Day 1 of TTC however, this weekend he decided to tell me that we were going to start trying for the next one, no matter the sex, at about six months post-pregnancy. I laughed hysterically and said maybe we should see what kind of parents we are with two before jumping into three, not to mention that we will wait at least a year before TTC again...Oh and he also informed me that I was starting to show - thanks honey :)

    I swear it was only a day after I told him we were expecting that he was no longer satisfied with having just one during this pregnancy.   He is constantly referring to my belly as "the babies"...he's dreaming!

    The guy's gonna be so disappointed when he find's out it's just one inside!
