I am in the process of packing it now, just very slowly. There are so many things I'll just throw in at the last minute. My plan is that if I am not rushed, baby will decide to make a sudden appearance, but you know how plans and pregancy go.
We are going to the beach next Friday through the following Friday so once we get back. I'll be right at 34 weeks. I do have my nightgown and his coming home outfit picked out and some travel toiletries I had around the house packed but nothing really done.
I want to make a list of last minute things so we're prepared!
1st BPF- 6/20/09 EDD 3/15/10 MC 8/1/09 2nd BPF- 12/28/09 EDD 9/7/10 Derick Andrew 9/9/10! Our little miracle
3rd BPF- 11/1/13 EDD 8/8/14 MC at 12 weeks 1/23/14 lost a little boy
I have the PJs, toiletries, and outfits for LO in a bag in my car. The rest of the bells and whistles I'm gathering up as I go and I'll chuck them in there to.
I'm bringing a small rolling suitcase because there is room left over and we can stash hospital goodies and gifts in it when we leave.
I packed it last week, and left a note for DH with the other things that need to go in it (robe, camera, etc). It's really just 2 nursing camis and gauchos, bath stuff so I can shower and make myself presentable, and a t-shirt and couple of pairs of boxers for DH in case he doesn't make it home (which I doubt because it's <10 minutes away, but just in case, I don't want him in dirty underwear, haha).
With DD, I had a list of what was going in what bags around 36 weeks. Probably started packing what I could around 38w & then had a last minute list that we packed as we were walking out the door.
I finally did it yesterday after having lots of trouble sleeping and pain the last few nights.
It took all of 3 minutes with my mom's help.
some clothes for me, an outfit for the baby, toiletries, and that's it.
The camera, cell phone, and laptop I obviously won't pack now since I use the items every day so those will be the last things we throw in the bag. I just don't think it's a big deal to pack a bag, since our hospital is 10 minutes away in downtown chicago. We work downtown, and my DH can drive home to get whatever we forget, or any other family member can as well. Plus you're in the hospital 2 days if everything goes well and hospitals now a days provide so much free stuff for your stay.
Oh, the most important thing I packed was the packet for the cord blood donation ! Without that paperwork that took about 30 minutes to fill out they won't donate the baby's cord blood at the hospital.
I have a 'pile' started of what needs to go in a bag and I have my bathroom bag packed as much as possible. We live 1/2 mile from the hospital, so whatever I forget or don't pack, DH can just run home and get. I've got DS's stuff packed in his diaper bag. I suppose I should get a bag going, but for whatever reason I keep procrastinating.
I just started, and by "just started" I mean I picked out the bag I am taking and threw in my travel-sized toiletries. I wouldn't be surprised if the rest waited until I go into labor - mainly because I am still wearing most of the comfy things that I want to bring.
I was going to pack it July 20th since my scheduled C/S date is the 21st. But now I'm going to have to do it this week because my OB is already talking emergency c/s if I'm dilated at all at my appt on Thursday. Babys bag is already packed. I need my stuff I'll be taking and what I won't need until after baby is here is already in babys bag, which isn't much really. I have a list. I'll pack it Thursday morning before my appt.
I've been working on mine this past week, but only because I had some false labor the other weekend (with the full moon) that has sent me into panic mode.
At 36 weeks I took the suitcase I wanted to use and placed it on the spare bed in the nursery with a list. As I think of things, I'll throw them in there. The baby bag is packed with the coming home outfit, baby book, some nursing supplies, and lots of extra space for things I intend on stealing from the hospital.
I think it's a fun step in getting ready for baby, so I had a very bare-bones bag packed by 30 weeks. Now that I'm at 35 weeks, I put things together a little more thoughtfully and made up a list of last-minute things to throw in. I'll probably continue to add and subtract a little each week, 'cause that's just how I am.
I'm 36 weeks and haven't packed my bag yet. I think I may end up packing it when labor starts. I'm a procrastinator like that.
Pretty much this exactly. I also live very close to a lot of my family and pretty much know I could leave it to a sister or my mom to head over to my house and get me the stuff i needed if I unexpectedly went in.
At 36 weeks when my Dr scared me and said that baby was in a position to come any day now. The only thing left to pack is the laptop, DHs stuff and to toss my toiletries in.
Knowing me- when I go into labor! AND I'll be searching all over the dang place for a bag to put my stuff in! I'll end up using a plastic wal mart bag!

I am starting my list this week and will start packing some things this weekend.
I am being induced at 38 weeks so we have 6 weeks max before her arrival.

Will probably do something similar with this one!
Probably not until 38-39 weeks. I am moving in 3 weeks, and won't do any extra packing until we are done.

Oh and a nursing bra.

You've got time!
I'm going to pack mine this week - only b/c I was just put on bedrest. Otherwise I'd most likely wait a bit longer.
