I just got our cell phone bill.  We don't have unlimited text messaging.  Well he has $200 worth of texting from the effing hockey playoffs to his brother.  I knew they texted back and forth a lot and I asked him and he said of maybe 20 times pergame.  I am so mad at him.  his response was well i'm not texting anymore.  for 200 he could have went to chicago and seen a game.  i don't have an extra 300 for a cell bill this month. i have to figure out where to come up with the extra money for switching insurance and paying the higher deductible and expenses.

    I would be really pissed too. I'd call and sign up for a texting plan - most will credit the overages off...then you can cancel it next month.

    We did this when we got hit with a $400 roaming fee while we were on our Canada vacation a few years ago...the international plan was $2/month....so we saved $398!!

    Yup, we did the same thing when DH still called his friend that moved to canada.  Now, we have to pay international just for his phone for 1 person grr.

    telyco-you have sprint right? do you really think they would waive those charges?  Our plan doesn't even exist anymore b/c it is 4 years old.  The only plan we could really get is the everything unlimitied plan.  The problem is its $50 more a month and I was trying to eliminate added expenses until dh has a job.

    Oh I am mad and he still hasn't apologized.  At least when I screwed up the cable I was almst in tears and contacted verizon to see if they could help me.

    Yep, sprint. At the very least they could credit some of the charges...even if they pay 50% it's still better than nothing. You cant just add texting onto your current plan?

    We pay a damn fortune for our cell phones...but we don't have a landline so I try and justify it that way.
