Question about Medela PIS battery pack

I have two pumps (both PIS) one is really old and I hate it and the other is newer. I'm a flight attendant and going back to work tomorrow so I need to be able to pump on the plane.The crappy old one has a battery pack but the newer one doesn't. I put the battery pack from the old one onto the new one and it works, it just pumps really fast, I guess since the battery pack is 12v and the newer pump needs only 9v.

I really don't have the money to buy a 9v battery pack right now. Do you know if pumping fast is bad for me? Do you think this will ruin the pump?

Using the 12v might wear out/wear down the moter prematurely, and has the possibility of blowing the power supply. I know medela has a 1-year manufacture's warranty, but I'm not sure I would risk it.
