Re: Recommend your sleep method/book
I used BabyWise with DS and am planning to do it with the twins. It's not for everyone as it is all about scheduling, letting baby sleep without props, etc. I loved it. Our son slept through the night right on target and we were human again
Healthy Sleep Habits Happy Child is a must for the house. I still use it from time to time now and the girls will be 2 on Saturday. I use it more as a reference book on sleep and sleep issues than a method of sleep training.
For sleep training, meaning sttn 12 hours without waking to eat anymore, not CIO, I used A Baby Sleep Solution by Suzy Giordiano. I believe she is also the author of 12 hours sleep by 12 weeks old as metioned by another poster. It is an easy read and worked great for us. She developed her method with her own set of newborn twins. And she does not use a CIO approach which I loved because I started when the girls were about 3 months old adjusted and they were too young for CIO.
I used Baby Wise and started at 2 months and she was STTN by 3.5 months & he was by end of 3 months. It made my life w/ them 90% easier. Also I didn't really follow it 100% such as the naps & play time & it still worked.
