Strollers and carseats

I am looking to get rid of our travel system soon and would like to find a lightweight stroller. I would like it to have some storage space and be sturdy enough to take Tyler on walks to the park or around our neighborhood.

My budget is around $150.

Also, looking for a carseat to give to our nanny for Tyler. It does not have to be fancy but just safe.

My budget for that is around $100.

TIA

Re: Strollers and carseats

  • uppa baby g luxe. i have the g lite and it's the best stroller i've tested or owned (and that's a lot). the g luxe is better for his age because it reclines.

  • The people on car-seat.org seem to recommend the Cosco Scenera, Safety 1st Avenue, or the Evenflo Triumph Advance in that price range.
  • I have a Joovy Kooper and I LOVE it. It reclines, has a nice size basket and folds up like an umbrella stroller, but is sturdier.

It's a little more than your budget, but I ordered it from the Joovy website, got free standard shipping and I received it the next day (they're based in Dallas)

ETA: We have an Evenflo Triumph for DH and my BIL to share in their cars and really like it. It's easy to move between cars and seems to be comfy for DS.
