LO (15 months old) had the MMR vaccine last Tuesday. At that time she had not really eaten much in 2 days. I mention this to the Dr. He says no big deal and gives her the shot. Next morning she has throw up in her crib. Every morning since she has had throw up in her crib. Since Thursday she has been throwing up during the day, pooping like crazy and is barely keeping anything down. I call Pedi on Friday and the nurse tells me a stomach virus is going around. Now LO is lethargic (she is a very active little girl), still throwing up, still having diarreah and taking minimal liquids and eating bread.
DH and I dont know what to do and of course its Sunday of 4th of July with no pedi. Anyone else had this experience with MMR... if it was a stomach virus its almost been a week and neither DH or I have it. DH says wait till tomorrow to call Dr. - I on the other hand am freaking out.
Re: What would you do?
I would be freaking out too! Is she interested in popsicles (just another way to get fluids in)? Is there an after hours/nurse line you can call?
Hope she feels better soon!
i would give pedialyte (sp) or anything. honestly, i gave ds gatorade (watered down) when he wouldn't drink and was vomiting and diarreah. he loved it LOL
hope all works out! what about watermelon or a fruit with alot of water in it?
