I saw these recommended in one of the lists posted with hospital bag recs, but this seems odd--do they not have disposables there? I'm using organic cotton at home, and I'd rather wait until home to use them and use disposables in the hospital, but if they don't have them, I'll surely bring them.

There weren't any when I had DD. I don't think you need them the first few days in most cases (there are people who have their milk come in right away, but that isn't the norm) because your milk isn't in and you're not really leaking anything.
I honestly never thought to pack them. I do pack my nipple cream, though.

Ditto.
They gave me soothies breast pads in the hospital when I had cracked nipples, but I never needed regular ones so I didn't ask. I was there 4 days after my c-section too.
I've heard that my milk may come in faster with the second baby, so I'm bringing some with me this time.

While you may not need them due to leaking, you may want them b/c the nipple cream will stain your clothes. I threw a few into my bag just in case. As long as you are not leaking, you shouldn't need very many, but if you don't want to stain your tanks and/or bras, I'd suggest having something because you will definitely want to use the nipple cream!
