Evan was so good! The Syracuse Symphony played for about 2 hours before the fireworks. He just played and played. He got sleepy right before the fireworks, but perked up to watch them. He just seem mesmerized by the whole thing (and the popcorn maker at the booth next to us

. He fell asleep right after they were over, slept in the car on the way home, woke up for jammies and a quick rock...and is still sleeping. I am so glad that he is a very adaptable baby. I feel that we are very lucky for that.
Re: Fireworks=Success
I'm glad he did so well! Sounds like a fun evening!
Eva ended up making it to the fireworks too. She was a fussy mess around 5:30 so I put her in her room to rest and it seemed to do the trick. She was so excited to see them and kept telling us what she thought they looked like- it was adorable. We only went across the street to the park and at the summit we could see two towns' displays simultaneously. It was nice because we were far enough away that the noise wasn't so bad. She was out like a light within minutes of getting home and slept until 9:30 this morning.
