Went in at 7:30am for CD12 follie check  - so much for sleeping in this morning :(

During Friday's US I had 9 follicles measuring 12-13mm & the RE decreased my Follistim & scheduled a re-look for this morning to see how we should proceed.

The US showed all 9 follicles have grown & I am definitely feeling it! I have 2 that are 19mm, 2 at 17mm & the rest were 13-16mm. The 19 & 17mm follicles are ready to trigger & the 16mm follicle could catch up. So the RE spent a good bit of time going over all the risks & our chances of multiples by having that many follicles. He said that it's not the most follicles he has ever seen before cancelling an IUI but definitely wants us to be aware of what could potentially happen.

After giving it some thought & with my track record these last few months, we decided to go ahead & proceed with the IUI. So I will trigger tonight with the Ovidrel & plan on doing the IUI Tuesday afternoon!

I'm a little nervous about having that many follicles but then again last month I had 4 mature follies that produced a BFN so we will see. Regardless of what happens, this is our last month of injectables & we will move on to IVF. If anything, at least I know I have a good response to injectables!?

    Wow, you are braver than I doing an IUI with 9 follies! Did your RE ever bring up switching to IVF for this cycle?  I wish you luck, hopefully you will only get one or two of those follies to stick!

    @ thebeadinglady - I did ask about possibly converting this cycle to IVF & my RE said they don't usually do that...especially with only 4 out of 9 mature follies. He also said that he wouldn't let me be doing the IUI if he thought for a second that it was to risky regardless of what I wanted to do.

    I had 4 mature follies last month with 22 million sperm post-wash and got yet another BFN so I am hoping that at least one takes this round. If by some miracle I end up with more than 2, then I guess we will cross that bridge when we get there.
