I looked at them but decided against it. I decided to wear a gown while in labor and for a short time post-delivery (until I could shower), then I brought my own clothes to wear during recovery.
I didn't because I didn't want to spend the money on something I'd wear for roughly a day that would also get blood and other fluids on it.
I was in the hospital for 3 days and I was so done with gowns by the second day. The only reason I kept wearing them was because I was boiling hot. Putting my yoga pants and nursing tank on on day 3 felt sooooo good. I agree with pp, I don't see the point in spending money on something you are almost certainly gonna sweat and bleed and leak all over.
i thought about getting something like that or laboring in my own clothes and ended up with the hospital gown because it was just easier and i didn't care wtf i was wearing by the time i got checked in to triage. i just wore a dark nursing tank and knit skirt for afterwards.
I brought a simple sundress to labor in. I ended up wearing it for about 1 hour until I went into the tub. Then I ended up naked for the rest of the labor. Wearing something was usesless at that point. Then I recovered in yoga pants and a nursing tank.
