beco vs mei tai

What is your preference and why? The mei tai is significantly cheaper. DS was already over 10lbs at 2 weeks. I need/want what I choose to last until he's at leasy crawling if not walking. I also have a 2yo toddler, so I like the idea of carrying DS on my back when he's a little older.

I love my beco. It's comfy and easy to use. I bought a mei tai and returned it. I just couldn't get it tight enough and my back hurt. I can wear DS for hours a day in my beco. The only thing is I can't do a high back carry which I really want to do.

I have both and I prefer my beco because I just never can get the mei tai tight enough.

The mei tai if it's a good one - the biggest advantage is that you can do a high back carry with a mei tai (the beco sits lower) - that will let you do a back carry sooner and most babies prefer to be able to see over your shoulder.
