Is everyone else forced to celebrate this Fourth of July today? All the parades, shenanigans, etc are all held today, in addition to the *big* fireworks show/concert. Just wondering if this is an everywhere thing, or another stupid Utah thing.
ETA: of course I don't mean actually forced. We will still be celebrating tomorrow, but we will be in the minority.

Re: July 3rd = July 4th. Orly?
Mormon stuff maybe?
Personally (I'm not Mormon, but Evangelical Christian) and we don't shop/go out to eat/spend money on sunday. But not watching fireworks / going to a parade seems like a bit much even to me.
I suppose it probably has a lot to do with the fact that people have to work on Monday. Especially for the nighttime activities. We always do our own thing at my parents house and I think DD is too young for fireworks this year so I haven't really paid attention to when things are around here.
I'd say its 50/50 here. A few towns that i know of are doing parades/ fireworks tonight. Our town does a kids bike parade on the 4th, and fireworks.

I vote stupid Utah thing
Nothing is really happening here until tomorrow.
The city I live in is celebrating and doing everything (parade, fireworks) on Monday, July 5th.
It's totally because July 4th is on a Sunday this, but I think they should have the celebrations on Saturday instead of Monday, which is just weird IMO.
