What are your 4th of July weekend plans?

Nothing much on my end.  I just got sick and now have a sore throat and runny nose.  Grrrrr, thankfully no fever.  I'm resting it up today - fluids and lots of naps.  Had to cancel the massage I scheduled for today, I did not want to get anyone sick.  Otherwise, DH and I will be enjoying a quiet weekend with our pups =)

    Sorry to hear that you're not feeling well and that you had to cancel your massage!  Hopefully you can reschedule for when you're feeling better.

    We don't have a lot planned this year....small BBQ/drinks Saturday eve and Sunday we're going to a minor league baseball game with fireworks after.  Usually we would be heading for Maine; my mom's side of the family has their family reunion picnic over the 4th holiday every year at a great aunt's lake house...we will miss it this year.  :(

    Enjoy your weekend with the pups!  And feel better too!

    Thanks Rach!  Sounds like a nice quiet weekend on your end.  I am sorry you will be missing your family reunion in Maine.  I LOVE Maine in the summer.  We used to go to Boothbay Harbor, and those were always my favorite trips.

    Boothbay....we always make a stop there...same with Freeport and LL Beans -- my grandma retired from Beans...and she gets an awesome discount!!   LOL!

    No plans this weekend, lots of pool time and a downtown festival on the 4th with DD and fireworks. Going to relax over a 3 day weekend!
    1 ectopic 3 m/c's prior to 5/05 Un-freaking-explained IF 5/05 IVF, BFN 9/05 FET 3d5e, BFP = Beautiful Baby Girl (lucky pg #5) 8/08 Fet 3d5e, cp 12/08 IVF with PGD, transfer 3, BFN 5/09 FET transfer 4, BFN Hail Mary IUI with Follistim 9/11 BFP; 9/22 confirmed tubal/MTX 4/10 FET 3d5e, BFP!!!! m/c 5/26/10 1 year break and yet another m/c 5/11 FET #5 initial beat 121, second beta 7 Lap and removal of L tube and very mild endo 7/11 Suprise BFP 12/11 & m/c @ 8 wks. After 11 losses and one beautiful miracle our journey is over, we are thankful and at peace.

    I would love a quiet weekend.  Oohh lots of naps that sounds so wonderful.  Sorry you're sick and wont get to enjoy them.

    I have the pleasure of turning my oven on, in this heat, to make brownies for a family get together.  There will be lots of "How's married life?" questions, which is code for dish on your husband so we can gossip about you to others.

    also my 14 yr old niece is in town for the summer, so I'll be running her around.  I think I'll enjoy that.  It's been a long time since I've been horse back ridding and she wants to try it.  Of course DD has been asking since before the wedding.  It will be interesting to see if she freaks out or not.

    Happy 4th everyone!  I've got a bit of a busy weekend actually (for once)!  Saturday night I'm going to a friends "low key bachelorette/bridal" party... just a handful of us getting together for an evening of drinks, good convos and apps.  Sunday: BBQ at a friend's.  Monday: hanging with DH's family (cousins and grandparents) since the cousin and his girlfriend are in town doing their "east coast goodbye" before heading off to work in SE Asia for who knows how long!

    This is all good... good to be social and busy this weekend, as AF's mangy dog Spot has arrived dragging AF's luggage (temps have been dropping, and I tested again and got another BFN tonight so it's a wrap).  So I will be bringing her along to all these fun times... mooching freeloader that she is!  

    But... onward and I'm wearing hard cider goggles right now!  Life is good!

    Sorry you feel bad, hope you feel better real soon.  I have no real plans execpt relaxing by the pool with some beverages!!!  :)  And I am sure cleaning house will have to be done too!!!

    Ditto haribo1, woke up yesterday sick also......im here at work with balls of tissue surrounding me Sad i will be doing NADA also!!!  Have a great holiday weekend whatever your doing, chat next week!!

    Quiet weekend here...going crazy in the 2WW- well 9 days that feels longer.

    Going to the lake today, swimming at my parents tomorrow and a water park on Mon. I guess that's not that quiet but no timelines so feels relaxing!!

    Bummer Haribo that you are sick.  When I was in college it never failed that I would get the sore throat, fever, ear ache sick on 4th of July.  There were like 3 in a row where I was laid up.  It sucks feeling sick in the 100 degree heat!!!  Hope you fell better (you too Karen)  I am working on Saturday and Monday so no long weekend for me but I will be having a BBQ on the 4th sitting out by the pool with some cocktails!!!!

    Sorry Haribo and Karen that you are both not feeling well!

    I'm excited b/c DH has the day off (he usually works Sundays), so we'll be heading down the shore for the day (the real Jersey Shore, NO Snookie!).........relaxing on the beach, enjoying adult beverages.  I knew there was a reason I moved back to this state!  LOL
