I had heard a while back that animals can be sensitive to changes. I don't know if this is the case but my bunny (who's like a house cat) has recently taken to hanging out on my tummy (she NEVER has done this) while I'm laying on the sofa. I got my BFP last sunday....

Anyone else have sensitive pets?

Yep. First time around every single animal within a mile radius just HAD to be right next to me ALL THE TIME. Sweet, but it got old after a while when I was trying to sleep.

This time my grabby fur pulling son scares them away.

Yup. The other day we were over our new neighbor's house doing the welcome to the neighborhood thing. We were sitting on the couch chatting, when their two cats insisted that they had to sit on me and their dog laid on my feet. They thought it was so strange that they were being so affectionate and said that I must really be an animal lover. There were even jokes of me being an animal whisperer,lol. I do love animals but this was pretty strange.

My cat did that when I was pregnant with my DS. They definitely know! He doesn't really care so much this time around, I think because it's not the first time.

My dogs are clueless. I thought they were intuitive.....but nope....they are their same ridiculous selves lol.

I posted about this when I first got PG too! My basset hound started urinating in the house, which he had never done before. Now he just clings to me and whines constantly. They can sense the hormonal changes I think.

My husbands dog, Oliver, who always sides with my H has started coming to me over him. He wrestles with H, but just wants to snuggle with me.

That is SO weird! My dog never wants to lay on the couch with me, lately he wants to be near me all the time. H & I adopted a kitten last Dec and the past 2 weeks she has been laying next to me on the couch everyday.

My cat has been sleeping on my pillow with his chin resting on my head and his paws on my eyes or on my head. ALL night. He's always been affectionate at night, but this is ridiculous. LOL.

I have 3 cats. They've always been pretty affectionate, but since I've been pg, ALL of them want my lap every time I sit down. And they're fat, so two at a time might fit if they work it right. I haven't been around other animals to know, but my boy cats follow me everywhere too. If I go in another room to talk to my dad, there's at least one cat trailing me in there. Very cute. I like the attention from them.

My dogs were like that with DD and lately they have definitely been a lot more lovey! A little off topic but my 1 year old must have heard us talking about a baby because everytime she gets the chance she is lifting up my shirt trying to kiss my belly and we always tell her to kiss her babies (baby dolls)!

My cat, Charlie, has started being WAY more lovey with me! He used to like luvins' before, but now he makes it a point to get on my belly and love on me at least a few times a day! I think he definitely knows.

Now, my dummy dog Lady (a mini dachshund) is still her normal, dummy self...

my one year old Labrador has become my shadow... She has always been a little clingy with DH and I but lately i can't go anywhere with out her following me. My cat attitude hasn't really changed but most of the time she is outside since the weather is so nice so she really hasn''t been around me to much lately.

SORRY FOR ALL CAPS ON MY IPHONE. MY TWO BOY CATS WILL NOT LEAVE MY SIDE. I WAS IN THE SHOWER THIS MORNING AND MY DH TOLD ME THE CAT ALMOST HAD A HEART ATTACK TRYING TO GET INTO THE BATHROOM. HE WOULD SIT AT THE BATHROOM CRY AND CRY THEN WALK TO THE LR AND SIT NEXT TO DH CRY AND CRY THEN WALK BACK TO THE BATHROOM AND REPEAT. MY GIRL CAT HAS BEEN DEPRESSED LATELY SHE JUST LAYS THERE AND LOOKS AT ME. LIKE SHE KNOWS SOMETHING IS HAPPENING.

Definitely....my dog was very strange, especially towards the end of my last pregnancy. Then when we came home with the new baby he wasn't sure how to take it, but he loves her now. He still tries to get all of the mommy attention he can though, and now we are on for number 2.
