O question

in Trying to Get Pregnant

This is my first cycle off BC. I'm on CD 14, and I am aware that no cycle is perfect. I was just wondering what it feels like when you ladies O, or if you don't feel it at all.

 I just felt a sharp pinch on my right side where (I assume) my ovary is. Basically, is this wishful thinking about some random pain I just had, or did I possibly just O? TYIA

    You probably felt middleschmertz or "middle pain" which is a good sign that you are ovulating!  This is my first cycle of bc and I ovluated.  I suggest you try charting your cervical mucus because along with the pain around ovulation your cm can tell you a ton!

    If you are the type of person who likes to learn I suggest "What to Expect Before You're Expecting".  I say If you like to learn because I find the whole process fascinating and want to know what my body is doing.  If you don't want to know too too much it could be scary or unerving.

    This. Now that we're all paying attention to our bodies much more, every little twinge seems to indicate something. Could be, could not be. Are you charting?

    I'm going to go aganist a PP and say that What To Expect Before Your Expecting isn't that great of a book.  I think someone else already suggested Taking Charge of Your Fertility which is an incredible book.  I'd also suggest signing up for Fertility Friend (click on my ticker) and take the tutorials.  I'd also buy a BBT thermometer.

    I was temping until a couple of days ago when my schedule changed. My times got all messed up because I am NOT a morning person. Next cycle I am going to be much more consistent. The thing that got me curious about this little pain is that I've never felt it before.

    Wow. I'd suggest researching a bit more before you start handing out advice. She "probably" had O pain? Really? Way to get a girls hopes up when it could just be gas, or anything else for that matter.

    I'll settle for cautiously excited at this point. Yes, I do realize that it can be a number of things.
