Ice pack (took them from the hospital)
Peri-bottle (two- one for soapy water and one for plain to rinse)
Witch Hazel Pads,(once again took a bunch from the hospital)
Maxi Pads (buy your own- the ones from the hosiptal are crap, IMHO)
I did not use Dermoplast at home because the ingredients in the crap scared me. I walked out of the bathroom with a numb mouth every time I did it in the hospital, so that kinda freaked me out, and I used THIS instead. LOVED IT!!!!
I personally think you could do without the rest, but I am simple like that.
Dermoplast and witch hazel pads were my best friend! (Supplied by the hospital)
Seriously. I can't stress how, cold from the fridge, witch hazel pads feel on the cooch. Your hospital should give you plenty. If they don't, send DH out immediately. They're awesome.
-hydrocortisone cream (for when you get itchy while you're healing---it helped so much)
-witch hazel pads
-I used to "diaper" pads from the hospital for the first day or two home. Then I switched to "Stayfree Overnight" pads. They were awesome b/c they aren't big and bulky but still absorbant.

This exactly!!! My hospital provided containers of Tucks and then bought some more when I got home.
These were the only real things I used, besides maxi pads (and I agree with buy your own). My FAVORITE thing was just soaking everything in a super hot bath for about 10 minutes every evening. It just made everything feel so much better. (I had lots of stiches). And no, I didn't need a bath pillow to sit on.
Re: PP Crotch Care Kit (stolen from July board)
I used:
? Ice pack
? Dermoplast Pain Relieving spray
? Peri-bottle (to rinse down there)
? The most gigantic maxi pads you can find.
? Your pain meds. (whatever the hospital gave me...)

Dammit...now I have to rethink this whole ttc business!
lol
I used all of these but I called the maxi pads I stole from the hospital PP diapers.
I my mom got me tucks (which I think is witch hazel pads).
Another thing the hospital "supplied" was the cloth blood catcher (sorry TMI) you slept on so the blood wouldn't leak onto the sheets.
I figured if they didn't want it on their sheets, I sure as hell didn't want them on mine.
