What goes on at a baby wearing group meeting?

Thinking about going to our local natural family store to one, but I just wondered what to expect!

I think it varies a lot! Ours are really informal; we just show up, share our fluff, try new things, and teach new folks how to use their carriers. Other meetings are pretty structured and have more organized lessons.

Have fun!! It's always nice to meet other babywearers and to have a chance to see and try different carriers ;-)

Thanks! I am trying to decide, assuming I really don't hav time for all, between the AP group, the baby wearing groups, and LLL extended BFers group at our local store. I guess I just need to check Them out and see....

Your meeting might be more on the instructional side if it's at a store. I was going to describe my local BWing meet-up (which I attended for the first time last month), but it's NCBelle's group

. And it was just as she described, although I will add that I was pleasantly surprised at all the different experience levels of the people there. I wasn't the newest newbie. Some were beginners, and others were experts. It was pretty interesting! I'm definitely more hooked now Stick out tongue

. Also, it was just nice to chat about non-BWing "kid stuff" with other moms.
