Yeast Infections?

I'm 7 DPO and realized yesterday that I have a yeast infection.  I called my doctor's office and asked them if there was anything I could take and explained my situation.  They called me back and told me they don't like for a woman to take anything for it in the first 12 weeks of pregnancy, but it would be okay for me to take monostat 3.  So right now I'm freaked out that IF I am PG that the monostat is going to in someway harm the baby (IF there is one in there now).

Has anyone else been in this position? TIA!

Re: Yeast Infections?

  • I haven't had one since I've been pregnant, but I would think if your Dr said Monostat3 is okay, then it's probably fine.  I think I remember reading that they just don't like pregnant women to take Diflucan or another oral anti-yeast medication.

Hope the M3 works for you and hopefully we get a BFP in a few days!!

  • I had one when I was about 11.5 weeks pregnant, and I used Canastant 7 (I think it was called that).  No problems with my LO.
