Babies: 0 - 3 Months

2 month shots :(

Poor baby doesn't know what to do with herself.  She passed out on the way home from the docs and has slept pretty much all afternoon, but when she wakes briefly to eat she has the saddest cry I've ever heard.  It's so pathetic.  I feel so bad because she was SO happy on our walk to the office and even during her exam she was smiling and "talking" to the nurse and pedi.

On the plus side the pedi was very impressed with her growth and strength.  He said she easily has the muscle tone to roll over if she wanted to.  She went from 35 to 60th percentile in weight (yay!) and is 96th for height at 2 feet long!

  • Aww poor thing!!  DS had his 2-month shots on Tuesday and while he slept a lot that day, whenever he was awake he was crying/screaming-man that was a rough day.  I think he was so worn out that the next day he literally slept ALL day long!

Yay to the growth progress!!  I was surprised how much my DS had grown too-he's now up to 14 pounds and is 24 inches long :)

DD's 2-month shots are next Friday.  I hope it's not a harrowing experience!

  • We ran some errands this evening and she had some quiet awake time.  We got a few smiles, but I was just happy she wasn't crying.  I hope it goes well for you other girls!  Riley definitely screamed.  I was holding her and she had her pacifier, but from the first shot to the last (3 in all) I don't think she took a breath she was screaming so hard.  It took a few minutes to calm her down.

Augh, this is what happened when DD got her hepatitis B shot at her 1 mo. appt.  She screamed so hard that she stopped breathing for a second, and it just broke my heart.  She'll be getting 4 of them...yikes.

    Hopefully Riley feels better tomorrow!!
