I just saw in your sig that you're TTC with PCOS, one ovary, and one tube. I've been around off and on for years but haven't been too active in posting since we weren't TTC before now. I do recall bits of info but was wondering if you had any advice, etc. I recently had my right ovary and tube removed. I know in theory this should not affect fertility but we are still concerned. Also, not sure how to use the PM function or I probably would have went that route. TIA!
Re: mbs427
I'm sorry to hear about your recent surgery. My situation is tricky since I have PCOS...while I may ovulate, my egg quality probably isn't the best b/c of PCOS...but it's improved though the fertility meds. But having one ovary and tube shouldn't affect your chances of fertility. Your left side takes over and you'll ovulate every month. My left side was removed b/c of a dermoid cyst/teratoma that was the size of a grapefruit!

TTC #2 since 9/09 --- mild PCOS; Endometriosis

I've been diagnosed with PCOS by my gynecologist (my old one) as well after the lovely 3 hr gtt & insulin levels - as well as other crazy levels that made sense later. However, I don't have the characteristic "string of pearls" ovaries (I've had to have t/v u/s q 3 months for the last 3 years). My right was removed due to a low malignant potential tumor recurrence. So far all along the left hasn't shown any problems so hopefully it will stay that way. Just anxious I suppose and always comforting in a way to know someone else who may understand a bit.
