Carmel Parade

Does anybody know why Carmel is having Carmelfest Sunday and the parade/carmelfest/fireworks on Monday?  DH and I were debating it all night last night......came up with only weird answers.

By the way who else is going?

    I think because Downtown is doing theirs on Sunday night so they didnt want to lose out on people coming by trying to compete with downtown's celebration.

     

    I think we are going to the parade and carmelfest on Monday.

    I think it's because of the churches.  A lot of them participate in the parade, or are on the route.  I was in it several years growing up, and i don't think they ever have it on a Sunday.

    My theory is because Westfield's fireworks are on Sunday and I just read it's the largest display in the county.  Might be worth checking out!
