Babies: 0 - 3 Months

Sports events

How many out there have taken their little one to a baseball game, or any kind of sports events?  Do you think it would be too loud?  I would never take her to a concert or any kind of a car race because it is too loud, but a sporting event would be less loud.  I am debating whether or not to do that.  Furthermore, at my work, we can win Rockies tickets which would only be 2 tickets.  Do you pay for a baby to get into a sporting event or do they get in free?

Re: Sports events

  • I don't think a baseball game would be too loud at all.  You would have to check with the ball park to find out about charging for an infant.  Every park is different.  We have NY Giant's season tickets, and assuming that they don't charge admission for her, she will be going to some of the games with us this fall.  In the what to expect book, it says that LO should be accustomed to most noises that she experienced while in side you, so unless you lived in silence, I would say most events would be fine.

  • Thank you....no we don't live in silence because babies are used to noise in the wound and a vaccuum cleaner wouldn't wake them up.  But how old does that stop affecting them? Sheis almost 3 months old and it seems like some noise will wake her up.

  • Check your stadium policy about kids, so require tickets for all people including infants but some allow for children that fit under the turnstile to be free as long as they are sitting on your lap (so if you don't want an additional seat it would be free).

We are planning to take the baby to a games (baseball first and then football in the fall) around 1 month or older .
