So how did you tell your hubby's the big news? Assuming he wasn't there with you when you took the test...call him, wait till he got home, do anything extra creative? let's hear it!
The first time with Emma I bought a onesie that says Daddy loves Me and wrapped it up with a digital that said Pregnant.
This one, I woke him up and said, " I believe we are pregnant again" and then I showed him the 2 test with the faint lines and then one with a faint cross. He said, Are you sure, they are so faint? I told him , "A line is a line, it doesn't matter how light or dark it is" Then he made me go buy a digital because he wanted to see "pregnant" before he got excited. lol.. So I did and took a pic and texted it too him and said, " Believe me now baby daddy times 2?" lol
He has this fishing game that I like watching him play. We were trying to win a competition for a better boat. I had gotten a questionable test that morning and it had me on edge all day. While he was mid-competition I excused myself to the bathroom and tested. I layed on the bed waiting for the results. Just as a faint line showed up he came running in yelling "We got the boat!" I yelled back, "I'm pregnant!" And he jumped on the bed and we hugged and cried. Then we went and played with the new boat. Bahaha.
I ran into the bedroom where he was still sleeping and jumped on him yelling, "DO YOU SEE THIS LINE?!?" My first BFP was an IC at 10 DPO, it was really faint.
PCOS Dx 12.08 / BFP! 4.22.10 DS1 born 1.4.11 DS2 born 6.19.13
I took a test on Father's Day(6/20) so I went out and bought a onesie that had little cars on it with VW beetles (his favorite car) and a bib with a teddy bear in a race car that says "I love my daddy." I had to wait till he got home from eating with his parents to give him the gift which I put in an UnderArmour bag (he so thought I bought him workout clothes) and he opened it, looked at it, and went "You're pregnant? Holy Sh*t your pregnant? Holy Sh*t" It was funny and classic for who we are as a couple. It was nice to tell him on Father's Day too!
I texted him asking him to call when he was able to. He called thinking something was wrong, as a meeting was starting.
Awesome, I know.

K was a huge surprise, I was on the pill. So when I told him, I was afraid of how he'd react. With Max, I POAS, came back into the bedroom and told him: "I'm pregnant!" This time he was up before me, so I had K hand him the test.
My husband was out of town for mothers day weekend while I was working. I took the test the day before Mother's day and he had planned to come home that night. After getting a "plus" sign I was so excited and wanted to call him right away but it was 4 am and I really wanted to tell him in person. So later that evening my husband called me to tell me he was on his way home (a 4hr drive) and told me he had gotten a surprise for me. I told him I had a surprise for him too. So when he got home he gave me this really nice frame he found and said "what did you get me?" I laughed and when and got the test and handed it to him. He looked at it confused and said "does this mean....?" and I said "yup, I'm pregnant!"
We had IF issues and did an IUI, so I didn't POAS, once the doc called with the test results and i finished crying I just called him he was waiting for the news

With DD we had been TTC for 6 months and I was just so frustrated that we took a month off. So of course I wasn't expecting a BFP. AF was 2 days late so I took one at like, 5 AM. DH was asleep on the couch (I made him sleep there because he was snoring) and I ran in and yelled "Please tell me you see two lines!" while shoving the pee stick in his face.
This time was unexpected, at least for DH. We had been using NFP and the last time we had unprotected sex, I calculated that it would be at least 8 days before I ovulated so we would be fine. Well, I ovulated the next day. Not wanting to freak out DH, I kept it to myself. 8 DPO I took a test at night and got what I thought looked like a super super light BFP. In fact, I posted it on 6-12 asking if anyone else saw it (some did, some said they couldn't tell). I told DH that I might be pregnant. I took a digital the next morning: "pregnant". He was pretty shocked (well, we both were) but now we're ecstatic.
I am obsessed with cute things...bunnies puppies...you name it.
so we would always see this cute baby seahorse they sell at walmart on the toy endcap and I would point to it hinting that we need to buy that for our baby when I finally give in. (He's been wanting kids forever.)
I took the test when he was napping; snuck out to walmart. I gave him the little bugger (which just happens to kind of look like a fetus...ontogeny recapitulates phylogeny) and he knew!

He was away at a conference in Chicago and I could quit crying (it was planned but I am like that when i get really happy).
I sent him a text asking him what time he thought he would be home because i had to tell him something. my mom and dad already knew because they were there and i was crying.
well he called and i let him talk to my mom since i was STILL crying and he was really worried and she finally just said "tell him".
I said "I took a test and it was positive". it took him a few minutes as he couldn't fully understand me through the crying (yep still going), but he finally got it out and announced it to the people around him at the conference. He was really excited.
And i was still crying when i got to work that night. still do when the mood strikes. stuping pg hormones. :-)

Ha ha...this sounds like my "water breaking" story...I was sleeping on the couch 2 days after my due date with DS and DH was on the computer watching hockey scores (it was during high school playoff season and we live in MN). I heard him yell from the office, "XX town just beat YY town in the playoffs!". At the same time, I noticed my water broke, so I yelled back to him, "Holy sh!t!" He thought I was all excited about the hockey game (in reality, I couldn't have cared less...). But once he found out why I yelled to him, he jumped into action and we headed to L&D!
I didn't know until she started kicking so the night after I discovered I put his hand on my stomach while she was kicking, he said "it's nothing, go back to sleep". After we told our parents though he was super excited.
I am boring: after I had found out about the pregnancy, I called DH and he screamed. At least that was fun!
He literally screamed on the top of his lungs; we were TTC for a year, so we both were very excited (especially him) when we found out about the pregnancy,
This time around, I waited until he got home (it was killing me to not just shove the HPT in his face as soon as he walked in!!) and took his shoes off, started some small talk. We have 4 pictures by the front door, a family picture from last year when my DD was 1yr, DS was 2 1/2; a pic of DH and DS in front of a monster truck; a pic of each of the kids at 5 months old.
I was holding my daughter and suggested we go do a new family picture. He looked at the old one and said, 'This one still looks fine.' I then whipped the POAS test out of my back pocket and showed it to him saying, 'Because we do.' It actually took him a whole minute to read the test a few times over! LOL But once it hit, his eyes just got really big and he was really excited.
I got up early on Valentines Day 2010. My husband was still sleeping, so I went to the rest room and took a test. I knew I had to wait a few minutes to get a result so started making us a nice breakfast. Since breakfast was almost ready I took a peek at the test. It was POSITIVE!!! So I ran into our bedroom and got back into bed, snuggled up close to him and said Happy Valentines Day Daddy!!!!
Well I tried to wait till father's day to tell DH but I didn't have the patience. I ended up telling him the saturday morning before. We had gotten a new car earlier in the month and we were super excited about the car, so of course we celebrated when we finally got home that night. Well I'm pretty sure that was the night we conceived. So this is what I told him about the pregnancy.
Remember that day we got the car. That was such a great day. He said yes it was. So I went on to say I'm pretty sure we got something even better that day. He was like stumped at first then I said I think I'm pregnant. I took the test that morning and sure enough baby number 1 is due in February.

We weren't planning to get pregnant so I took two different tests over a two day span. After the 2nd one came back positive I wrapped up the test and put it in a gift bag. Gave 'The Present' to DH when he got home. He freaked out, first that he had to touch the thing and then that we were pregnant. haha!!
I feeling really sick two days in a row. I thought I was getting the flu and went to the store to get some medicine. Walking past the Pregnancy tests, it occurred to me that I was late. I went home, and took a test while my husband was watching TV. I totally expected it to come out negative since we weren't trying. Before I could even stand up two bright pink lines showed up. I think my eyeballs were the size of softballs and I had to look three times. I went out to the living room and told my hubby he needed to come here now. He said no, that I should wait for commercial break. I freaked out, screamed NO, NOW! And he about jumped through the roof and followed me to the bathroom. I pointed at the test and started bawling and his reaction was, "Oh, alright... Are you okay?
Haha! He was totally calm, cool and happy and I was freaking out! Thank God for him or I might have had a panic attack right there in the bathroom
He was playing Mario on the Wii. I was smiling at him like a crazy woman, I am sure. I told him to put down the paddle, then I showed him the 2 tests (Frer and Digi).
Then, once the shock wore off, I gave him the frame and onesie I had for him. I showed him within minutes of getting the +HPTs.

This is really kind of embarrassing.

I wrote my Husband a poem, frammed it and ave it to him:
FYI, Siena is our dog...
?YOU AND ME? met almost seven-years-ago,
Knowing in my heart of hearts where I wanted it to go.
?YOU AND ME? dated and then we bought our place,
It?s where you proposed to me and where Siena bites my face.
I took a test and wasn?t sure what I was going to see,
But after the long two minute wait my heart was filled with glee.
I took another to make sure my eyes weren?t deceiving me,
Now it?s true that ?YOU AND ME? are turning into a FAMILY!!!
