He refuses to wear shoes

and I have no clue what to do. Every time I put a pair of shoes on Austin he throws a huge fit. On Wednesday he was so upset that he made himself throw up.

He will tolerate them if he is being carried or sitting in his stroller, but will not wear there if he is on the floor or wanting to walk around. If he wants to start playing out back then he needs to wear them, I dont want him stepping on a something.

I have tried sandals, hard sole tennis shoes, soft shoes, water shoes.

Anyone else struggle with getting their LO's to wear shoes??

    We started Lil Miss in those and she loved them, hopefully Austin will too!

    I think our sons are long lost brothers.  We tried all that we could think of too.  Eventually we just let him step on hot pavement just once so he understands why he needs shoes.  Then, he would only wear them when it was hot out, but it was a start.  I know that is not the best parenting advice ever but we were at our whits end and out of ideas.  Plus, I was tired of people calling me white trash or telling me that my son was a health hazard to the city.

    Oh he walks around on the grass, concrete, with no problems whether it is hot or not! I guess it is the Southerner in me that isn't too bothered by it but we were talked about the other day at the Dr office when he was walking around the waiting room barefoot.
