Looks like a BAD sunburn with tiny bumps. We are doing lots of naked time, lotrimin and triple paste. Any other suggestions?
I am stumped as to what caused it though - lots going on right now. Just started CDing, so it could be the detergent, but she hadn't been in a CD since Sunday b/c I am behind on the laundry and have a small stash. She wore them the entire first week without issue. I am going to soak and rewash just in case. Just opened a new box of drymax dipes and tried the thick care wipes and tried bordeauxs butt paste for the first time. Any thoughts?
Re: 1st diaper rash :(
Is she eating solids? This happens when they start eating solids. It has something to do with the acids breaking down. My son just went through this 2 weeks ago. Bordreaux's is the best! I recommend you keep using that and maybe putting a little baby powder in her diaper to keep her dry. It worked wonders for me.
Good luck!
try cornstarch, and keep her bum as dry as you can.. make sure you're drying it with a soft cloth before you put on any kind of cream.
just keep an eye on it, if it doesn't get better it may actually be a yeast infection which will probably require a script.
DS had what i thought was a bad diaper rash and it just would not get better no matter what I did, turned out it was a yeast infection

Poor baby!
Tooter currently has diaper rash too.. I think its a combo of starting solids and teething. I change him more often, even if its just a little tinkle... I also make sure he's completely dry before lots of powder and a new diaper. I only put on Bordeaux's before he's going down for a nap/bed, when he's going to be in the diaper for an extended period of time. It looked a lot better this morning, but I made sure to send extra diapers/the butt paste/powder to the sitter's.
