Podee ?

Anyone ues these?  I have a friend that has twin girls about 6 yrs old, and I recall that when they were toddlers, she used these bottles with them (I don't think exclusively though).  Worth adding to the registry?  It says they are safe from infants... any safety issues with them?  Any and all info appreciated.  THANKS!

It does look strange, but it is basically a bottle with a straw.  You can place the bottle by the baby's side, and not worry if they can't hold the bottle... it is the same as them just sucking on the pacifier.  I just don't know if there are any safety issues with them, especially as infants.

    BTW - sold at BBB

  • Used with both of my DD's and they were LIFESAVERS (long road trips, shopping, etc. etc).  I definitely will be using them with the triplets.  I did have some friends that their babies didn't like them - but I think there is a 'window' of time that the podee is best introduced - I had good success when I introduced them between 6-8 weeks.

LOVED them!  Also, as a sidenote, I think there was a post about a week ago about this topic with a lot of responses, so you may want to try the search function to see if you can find it.

Thank you very much for the feedback, and I'll be on the search for that post.  : )

  • You're welcome!  Also, I forgot to mention - I used them with our Dr Brown's bottles - at my BRU, you could buy just the adapter part (nipple and 'straw') without the actual bottles, and it was cheaper.  Just a random sidenote... Smile

  • I love these, they really keep me sane!  I agree about how nice they are when in the car or out shopping, in the stroller, etc.

Awesome!  I was wondering if they fit other bottles last night during my research.  I was on the BBB website, but didn't see that they sold the "straw" seperately, so thought it was a patent item only for that bottle.  LOL  I'll be researching at the store this weekend, so hope to find them there.

  • we tried them when the babies were around 3 months old and they didn't work at all, they just couldn't figure it out.  we tried again at around 10 months old and they got it so we used them (only if we really had to go somewhere when they needed a bottle) in the stroller or car for around 2 months until we stopped bottles.  we never replaced all their feedings with those, they still got most bottles in the high chairs

Good to know.  I won't register for too many, but nice to have a couple on hand I guess is the consenses.  : )
