I'm watching For Rent and a very pregnant lady is rollerblading - really? My OB would kill me if I even tried to jump on a bike since I fall walking. What am I missing out on ladies? Anyone else pulling out skates?
My OB would have been mad at me too. I got a 10 minute lecture after getting on the horse from my OB. But she did let me ride my four wheeler. So who knows?!
With that said, I am not a rollerskater and probably wouldn't do that now. My balance pretty much sucks.
I'm the biggest klutz in the world so I wouldn't risk it for anything. I don't even go downstairs in my house unless I have to because I've fallen down my stairs so many times before I got pregnant and could still see my feet. I keep hearing stories around my mom throwing hay bails and playing basketball 9 months pregnant and think I'm so thankful that times have changed and my Dr would lecture me for doing that now!
I think some Dr's are more lenient with some things. Like with Ashley and 4 wheeling. There is no way they would let me do that, but I haven't been on a 4-wheeler since I was a kid. I think if someone did something all the time and was more comfortable with it then the Dr would be more lenient. Horses however are pretty much always a no because no matter how comfortable you are you never know what a horse is going to do.
I went ice skating when 12 weeks pregnant with Ian. I got a mouthful from my mom and my OB. I would say stay away from anything you think you can fall from.
I went surfing up until 5 months. OB was fine w/ it. The only reason I stopped was because DH wouldn't let me anymore. I'm lame though, because I haven't gone out since then. (partially because there is no way my fat a$$ will fit in my wetsuit).
I rode my bike until about 6 months when my asthma went crazy.

I went sledding. My midwife was all for it. We needed the baby out. I was already 41 weeks at that point and it wasn't that big of hill.
