Link what you have, please. I would prefer something neutral and easy for DS to get to on his own since we have a lot of toys in the living room.
(I know it's been asked before.....stupid search function...)
I am leaning towards those squares with canvas baskets - Pros/Cons?
Re: Toy Storage
We are in need of this as well for our game room.
I like these on Land of Nod:

Or these from Target:

We have this one, but half the size in each kid's room.
With these baskets:
We have this from Target.

We bought one for upstairs in the game room and one for down in the living room. We wanted something that made the living room look less like a playroom and sort of blended in with the furniture.
we have the same bookshelf as nanner, but in a 2 x 4 model.
The only problem (that we have at least) with the canvas bins is that they can get dirty. Especially if they get ground up crackers and pretzels and goldfish in them. In retrospect, I'd like plastic bins, just to make them easier to clean.

Another vote for IKEA Expedit shelves here. I have some with bins and some without. We have the clear plastic bins in the living room and canvas ones in her room.
In the living room, we have the cubes sitting vertical, so the top ones hold CDs and other grown-up stuff in baskets while the lower ones hold toys. Bigger toys just sit in the cubbies.
So far my only con is that I have not found any baskets or bins that fit in there but can stack. I'd really like to have two containers of small toys in one cube.
