January 2011 Moms

my OB called me

i guess she was wondering why i haven't been in to see her yet!  i had to explain that the stupid scheduling people wouldn't let me make an appointment until i did the OB intake which you can only do on Thursday's with a nurse.  so i wasn't able to make an appt for that until next thursday (i'll be 12 wks!)  :(

well the OB was super nice and asked if i had any questions and i just said that i wanted to be able to hear the heart beat since i'll almost be done with 1st tri and want to know that everything is still working before i tell other people.  she said that she would see me immediately following the OB intake to check stuff out!  i was pretty happy with her openness to fit me into her schedule, but it is probably because i'm overdue to see her :)

so hopefully i'll know next week that everything is OK

  • she's a new OB for me since we moved last year but I have seen her for my annual pap and i do like her!  I'm hoping it works out with her because i'm not sure if she delivers at the hospital i'd like to go to, but i'm keeping my fingers crossed!

That's awesome that she called you.  Good luck at your appointment!  I am 11 weeks, and I just went for my first appointment today.  It was a little nerve-wracking waiting so long.  Last time, I had had an ultrasound before 7 weeks, so my idea of what was normal timing was a little off.
  • sounds like you have a wonderful ob. I would keep her around.
  • She definitely sounds like a keeper.  It's nice when they make you feel like a person and not just a number.

  • That's really awesome that she took the time to call you herself, sounds like a keeper:)

And good for you for getting to see her & hear the heartbeat soon!!

  • Sounds like you found a really good doctor.  Even if the scheduling staff sucks bal!s
I give up trying to get a ticker.  I have a DD that is 2.5 years old and is awesome.  Maybe I'll add a quote to distinguish myself.  Hmmm.  How about...
