We deswaddled last week and have been sleeping very little ever since. I'm swaddling tonight to experiment and see if he still needs it for a good night's sleep. I really wanted to stop at 4 months.
Well, I had several reasons...1) he was breaking out some nights and waking up anyway. 2) I've read that past 3 months they really should be "free" so they can stretch out 3) we are going to have to stop sometime...
We swaddle the first stretch of the night. However, he'll break loose around 5:00 a.m. and we just let him flare his arms and legs. He's still sleeping during this time.

My son was swaddled till he was 8 months old! ( and still did everything on time developmentally)..some people think it delays them to be wrapped all night. DD, I wanted to stop by 4 months..I tried today and she barely slept all day, so I fiqure I'll leave her as long as shes happy swaddled..I'd rather her sleep then not sleep at all!
I am still swaddling. He doesn't need it, but for us it keeps him from trying to roll over on his tummy. I don't plan on stopping anytime soon and even bought a larger swaddleme a few days ago.
We are. Every time we tried to de-swaddle her (even just one arm) she doesn't sleep. She'll let us know when she's ready to be out of the swaddle. I'm in no rush.

We are!!! We only do it at night, going to do it during naps as well otherwise he only sleeps up to 45 minutes at a time. I'm scared to stop because I keep thinking about the nights he would cry for hours at a time.
We are, for night time, but not nap time. He's been busting out, so I need to be de-swaddling him, but so far we've only gotten as far as for naps. I'm really nervous to stop at night time, he just sleeps so amazing in his Halo sleepsack swaddles. He hasn't rolled over yet though, and we absolutely will need to stop then.
Re: Who's still swaddling their babe?
I am still. Why did you want to stop at four months?

I am, and she's starting to break free, but when I put her down to sleep unswaddled, she only sleeps for a few hours at a time.
Same here.
