    Believe it or not, holding my nose while brushing helped a little...

    Try and do alot of breathing through your nose while you brush.  It helped me not to gag.

    Natural tooth paste without flavor will help a bit. 

    Honestly though, I threw up from brushing my teeth (or at least gagged over the toilet) for weeks.

    I used mouthwash in the mornings and didn't brush until after lunch with both kids. That and vanilla flavored toothpaste helped me through the 1st tri.

    I got kiddie toothpaste.  Tom's strawberry flavored...ever since I started using that I don't get sick.

    i had the same issue.... I went out and bought Colgate toothpaste for kids.... it helped a lot....  by the end of brushing my teeth i almost gag---but for the most part it is SO much better than my regular toothpaste.  Hope that helps.  Good luck.

    switch to something other than mint toothpaste

    don't brush too far back on your tongue

    don't brush right after a meal

    And that only "kinda" helped me.

    Me too! I thought this was odd. I do not throw up but I sure gag a lot. I end up choking myself into oblivion and half my make up comes off before I leave for work with all the tears that come out. Its a mess.
