Lemon and Ice Craving

Anyone else craving lemons and ice?  Seriously, nothing makes me happier in my day than a big glass of water with ice and a quarter of a lemon.  I make myself drink from a straw so I don't murder my teeth but I can't stop!  I also chow down on the ice after the water is gone which I'm sure isn't helping my molars either.

Re: Lemon and Ice Craving

  • I like water with the crushed ice and can have about 10 large cups a day. Minus the lemon though. I'm not to the point of craving it yet (I don't think) but I've heard some say the chewing ice craving could be linked to an iron deficiency. I take supplements already, but sometimes I do forget!

  • I eat lemons like I would eat an orange. I eat everything but the peel! I've been doing it to help speed up my metabolism and to help rid myself of water weight. It works...I think! lol

Oh, you can also blend ice and lemon in a blender...yummy!

  • I have BIG cups of ice water several times a day... I looooove it! Sometimes with lemon sometimes without. It's so weird, whenever I drink anything anymore it HAS to have ice in it!
  • I rec. bringing a bottle of lemon juice (or a lemon) for the ice chips in the hospital.
  • I crave ice and icees.  And have also been told it's linked to iron deficiency which makes sense because I am anemic.

Omg, ice and lemon in the blender.  Gonna have to try that tonight.

I tested negative for anemia at my last MW appt so I don't think that's why I'm craving the ice.  It's odd though, I figured I could crave really weird things but all my cravings have been are larger versions of stuff I already loved.  Oh well, at least I'm getting all the water I need!!

Just make sure if you use the actual lemon and not just the juice, that you remove all the seeds first! lol And, don't put TOO much in there...it can be too strong. You can always squeeze a little extra juice in it later if it isn't strong enough for ya :)
