I
do realize that one difference is that #3 has a pan-zoom camera which
#1 and #2 dont. But then does #3 camera not have the extra LEDs like
the #1 and #2?
Also what is the key difference between #1 and #2?
I have the Summer Best View color day and night monitor (#3). The biggest difference between this one and the other two is that this one is 100% digital while the others run on 900mhz broadband which is less private and more interference with other wireless technology or other same video monitors depending on what wireless electronics you already have in your home and in your neighborhood. There are a lot of people who have this and the interference is a non-issue while it is for some.
I can't tell from reading on the other two, but the best view camara can turn 350 degrees sideways and up and down for more view range and can be controlled on the handhold toggle switch. It also got a 2.5 screen rather than 1.8 for easier viewing. The camera rotating feature will be handy when the little one is moving.
I am not sure I understand your LED lights questions? If you are talking about the LED sound lights bar, the Best View has the same as the other two.
I believe they are all are good choices depending on your needs. I like the bigger screen on the handhold and the 100% digital. I live in a 3 floor townhouse and has been testing the monitor a lot lately and never had any disruption with the digital one and very clear view on the screen. We have wireless internet service and cell phones and they never interfere with the monitor that I have.

As far as I read, all there of these are 100% digital technology.
But its good to know that you live in a 3 storey townhouse cos thats how ours is too and one of my concerns was picture quality which you said is great.
As for the LED, if you see the camera of the #1 and #2 you wil notice small LED lights around the camera, which are supposed to improve picture quality....I didnt see these on the #3 camera hence I was wondering if it affected picture quality.
I have # 3 and love it. I have twins and being able to pan back and forth between the two cribs is a big advantage. As for the LED's, the camera has LED's around the lens which help with night vision. I think the picture quality is good. Their customer service is fantastic as well. We had an issue with the toggle on our handheld (it was sticking). I called Summer Infant, they sent out a complete new monitor (camera and handheld) with a prepaid shipping label to send the defective one back. I'm very pleased with the purchase.
Re: Differences in these Summer infant monitors...anyone??
