maternity clothes?

When do you think you will start wearing maternity clothes?  I dont need them yet but feel like it wont be long until I will at least need some stretchier pants.  I am thinking around 8 or 10 weeks I will be in them.  I didnt need them until 12 or 14 with DS!

  • I didn't start wearing maternity clothes until I was about 16-18 weeks with DD. I have already brought up my maternity clothes from storage but I don't need them yet. I'm sure I will need them more sooner than later though.

  • I'm not in mat clothes yet, but I either have to wear something stretchy or use my belly band daily. The weird thing is that I have lost weight, but my clothes fit terribly!

  • I'm totally guilty for busting them out already.  I wore a pair of maternity shorts yesterday.  Now that they make those bottoms with the waste that grows with you, I can wear them and not feel like a fat girl in maternity clothes.

It's annoying. Hah. Oh well, at least I know why my clothes don't fit!

  • I'm definitely wearing them now sometimes.  After I eat lunch, my stomache expands so much that I usually have to unbutton my pants for the rest of the day!  By the time the evening gets here I'm so bloated that I go ahead and put on a maternity t shirt and shorts for bed so that I'm more comfortable!  And I'm really early!  But I am on progesterone supplements and I think that makes it worse.  I don't know!

  • So far all my clothes with the exception of my black work pants still fit. I went out yesterday and bought mat pant in black. They feel fine until I sit and then the button pokes my stomach. If I can muster up the energy to hem them today I'll wear them for the first time tomorrow.

  • I bought some pants and shorts at the 30% Old Navy sale, which should be here by this weekend. I will probably start wearing them soon since my choices are limited on what will work being unbuttoned.
  • This is my first but I am going to buy a few summer dresses that have a high waist so I can get a little bump and not stress about pants.
  • I bought some maternity capris a while back and wore them for the first time two weekends ago. They were the early pregnancy kind without the pouch- just a stretchy waist. They are so much more comfortable than regular pants.

  • I wore my belly band on Tuesday with regular jeans, but without that, my pants hurt too much in the afternoon/evening. I've lost a few pounds too, but my belly gets rather round at night. I'm off for the summer now, so I lounge around the house in running shorts, boxers, or yoga pants. If I go out somewhere, I'll most likely put on a dress.

As far as maternity clothes go, I ordered some from Old Navy and Gap a few weeks ago and just tried them on. The pants and jeans are just stretchy waist (no panels or anything) and I would not be opposed to wearing them now except that I feel like I don't really need them yet. I would say by August though I'll be all about it! :)

No maternity clothes yet, but I spend most of my time in yoga or sweat pants.  I still fit into my jeans and my friend sent me her belly bands.  I'll buy maternity clothes once I need them.

Oh man, I can so relate to this. I have also lost weight, but my pants are snug! I think part of it is that I have belly pudge anyway, and pre-pregnancy I was accustomed to holding it in. Can't now!

  • My regular clothes still fit, mostly, but just look awful. Some pants are a little tight. I just got my Old Navy order, and the maternity jeans are SO comfortable. They're still a little big around the waist, but that won't be true for long.

I have a couple of pairs of "fat pants" and those are fine. I actually have thought about running to Marshall's and buying two more pairs of pants in one size up, but I'd need to get them hemmed and it would be just my luck to grow out of them before I got them back.

     I'm 8w2d now

  • I have noticed my work pants feeling tighter but I have to wear my shirt tucked in for work. I am trying to hold off on maternity pants for a few more weeks because I haven't announced it to everyone at the company that I am pregnant. I will probably be looking at some new pants / tops around 12 - 14 weeks.

  • Whenever I need them? I haven't gained any weight or had any bloat so I'm hoping I can wait a while. This probably sounds terrible but I'm in no hurry to be any bigger.
