Poll: Family circle or Parents Magazine

Bella got a bug pod (a thing for the wall that holds bath toys) and it came with a free subscription to either Family Circle or Parents magazine... which one would you chose? I'm into cooking, trying new recipes and trying to get healthy once again (I've kind of laxed since I had her) so I thought the Family Circle one might be good and we already get a couple of free baby mags but not parents... any suggestions?

I'm currently getting Parents. I haven't really read Family Circle at all, so I can't compare but I like Parents mag and I think it's pretty good =)

  • it's been a while since i looked at family circle. if i recall there are lots of recipes but not sure if they are healthy ones vs convenient ones? i get parents and i like it but it isn't very recipe heavy at all.  i know you wanted our input but why don't you also go to the magazine area the next time you're at the grocery store and flip through both and see which one you like?
  • I get Parents and sometimes I get frustrated because the articles really reinforce the whole notion that there are parenting "no-no's" which bugs me.  There's no one right way to do this.  So I read it all with a grain of salt.  I think I'll let that subscription lapse and get Mothering instead.  For recipes we love Cooking Light and Healthy Eating.  I also love Tosca Reno's Clean Eating (it's a magazine AND she has a book for Clean Eating with Kids that we also have...love it and cannot wait for Libby to be on solids to try some of her stuff)....

There are lots of free recipes online too...cooks.com, foodnetwork.com, etc.
