Maternity Wardrobe Low Point

I'm just full of stuff to say today, which is odd, since I've been reading these boards for 8.5 months and can probably count on one hand the number of times I've started a new post! But I had to tell someone who would understand. I have Gap roll-top pants that NEED to stay up in order to cover my ever-expanding belly and they did stay up just a few days ago, but for whatever reason, they will NOT stay up today. That leaves me exposing the bottom of my belly at work. Classy. So... I'm totally holding my pants up with tape. Definite low point. On the upside, maybe it means that I've dropped? (I never really did with DS.)

Re: Maternity Wardrobe Low Point

  • I'm right there w/ya, sista.

I'm wearing a MATERNITY dress as a long top/tunic today because it's too short now..

  • I have had the same problem.  I dug out my Be band (from target) to wear so my belly does not stick out the bottom.

I SO did this this weekend!  For the most part I am all about cotton skirts and tank tops.  I really am a sad sight to see... :)

I've been wearing my maternity pants so much that the band is starting to double up, it's so annoying because it feels like the pants are tighter when that happens. I'm just thankful to be pregnant in the summer and can wear dresses all the time.

  • I am going through similar wardrobe malfunctions. None of my maternity clothes fits anymore! The demi panel stuff is so uncomfortable and tight and feels like its so "below the belly" that I'm losing my pants. The full panel stuff makes my stomach itch like crazy, not to mention that it's torture in this sweltering summer humidity! I'm stuck rotating between the 3 jersey dresses that still have a legal length on them. It's upsetting thinking of all the cute maternity outfits I bought to last the whole 9 months! I won't make this first time mom mistake next time around.
  • Last year I bought 3 knit tube dresses from Target, Not maternity, but they were cute and on sale.

    LIFESAVERS.

  • Ugh! Maternity clothes suck!!!

All my pants still fit but its so hot here now that I can only bear to wear shorts... I have ONE pair, and they're khaki cargo shorts so it's not like no one will notice that I keep wearing them. ALL of my shirts are too short and show the bottom of the panel on my shorts... Klassy! I refuse to buy more temporary clothes though, dang it! I'm so happy I'm being induced on Monday!
