Re: Pregnant (& TTC) After Preemie Check-in!
* I just want to say, first, that SkypeWithoutAC is the best Check-in coordinator! You keep track of everyone, and notice all the milestones. Thank you for doing this for us!
I don't have much to say, as we are cruising to 34 weeks on Friday. I saw my OB today, and she has me scheduled for a growth ultrasound next Wednesday with the Perinatologist and to set a plan for taking out the cerclage. Bedrest ends on Friday, but I plan to take it easy, anyway. I am nesting like crazy and getting ready for our little man. I treated the family to a lawn service and a cleaning service (for the short-term) and it is a wonderful feeling. I am feeling good most of the time. Crossing fingers.
Can I please be added to the list? I'm Karen, I had my sons Hunter and Parker at 26w3d due to PTL of unknown cause. We're thinking about TTC soon, and I've asked my family doctor for a referral back to my high risk MFM for a pre-conception consultation (I can't just go straight back to them directly.)
I'm a bit nervous and a lot excited. I need to get some nutritional deficiencies in order before we can start trying (iron deficiency, low B12, zinc, and folate.) Hunter's doing well at home, and I miss Parker terribly (he passed away at four days past birth).. and I wonder if I'm nuts for thinking about this already. But I'm so excited at the same time! Crazy.
Sorry so long.. but I'm so pleased to have a group of women who really get my fears.
Hi ladies!!!!! I should be ovulating either today or tomorrow and then I'll be in the 2WW. Ugh... Such a mix of emotions. Wish me luck! I'm praying for a healthy, full-term baby...whether I get it now...or if I have to wait for a little bit before I get that BFP.
OMG, MAGGIE!!!! I'm so happy and excited for you!!!!!!!!!!!! Congratulations!!!! H&H full term pregnancy to you!!!!!!
Awww, thank you, darlin'! It's a nice small board, so it makes it easy
Congratulations!
I a Sooooooo excited and happy for you. I saw one of your post on sunday but thought I should wait till you told us. Congrats :+)
GAME ON!!!
I had my last u/s on Monday and the ute is clear.... no more growths!! I'm in my first tww, but I'm not really counting this month because our timing wasn't great (dh was oot) and I'm not starting progesterone until next cycle.
I am so freaking excited. When the u/s tech told me everything looked perfect and that we can really do this I thought I was going to pee my pants. EEEK!!
Need help with high fat food ideas? Chunky Monkey
That's awesome!!!
Thank you to SkypeWithoutAC for the T&Ps!!
Congrats to everyone else's great news!!
My Update: First BPP & NST #2 went great, no problems- Dr. was insanely optimistic that things might improve... I had my NICU tour tonight and I wanted to say THANK YOU for everyone's input-- you gals had some great suggestions and we met a great team of nurses & Dr's to care for Addison when she makes her appearance. Next BPP & NST is tomorrow morning, and we are anxiously awaiting our next growth scan next week to see if there's been any improvement-- keep those T&Ps coming! (Oh, and we found out the NICU has a discharge weight of 4lbs 8oz, so she has about 3lbs to go before she is over that... ) Hopefully I can keep her cooking so she can pack the weight on.
THANKS LADIES!!
Holy cow, 4lb 8oz!!!!! DD would have been in an extra month! lol I hope she's nice and chunky. I'll be optimistic, even, and hope she's full term and chunky and then you won't have to worry about discharge weights
Yea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Congrats. I feel like were all on a BFP roll. Keep um coming :+)
I've had an eventful couple of weeks - but everything is good.
I had a bleeding episode last week and spent a few hours in the ER. Everything checked out fine and they couldn't find a reason for the bleeding. So I was told to take it easy and not exercise for a few weeks. I haven't had any more bleeding, so that's great.
I had my big u/s a couple of days ago and there is a healthy baby girl in there! I'm so excited for a daughter, and that she is healthy and growing on track. I'm really hoping to keep her in there full term, but lately I keep having this dredded feeling that she will be born early again like my son.
I have a follow up appt with my OB next week to check the bleeding problem, but I don't think they will find anything wrong since the u/s showed a great result.
Hell yeah!!!
Congrats! I am so happy for you! My LO arrived a month after Aidan (at 29 w, 6d) and I remember reading your blog and hurting for you. Reading your blog made me realize that I wasn't alone (no one close to me had ever had a preemie, so I had no one to talk to that really understood). I will be thinking of you and wish you a happy and healthy 9 months!
