  This exactly.  My doctor actually told me that it's OK to take one in the AM and one in the PM since DD is taking in so much of my nutrients.

  my midwife told me to stay on a daily vit but it didn't have to be prenatals, I told her I still have 7 more months supply and she said it was fine to stay on them!

  I stopped my Rx prenatals (one with DHA) when I ran out about 6 weeks after he was born, but I am taking OTC ones. My OB told me to stay on them.
