New & Sickness Question

Hi Everyone!

My husband and I just started TTC.  We thought we'd start last month, but it wasn't until after I ovulated.  So, here we are this month.

I'm just waiting until I can take a test.  It is so freaking hard!  I have no idea how any of you do it!!

In the mean time, I have been sick EVERY single day.  Unfortunately, I have Acid Reflux, so I'm having a hard time believing it is morning sickness.  It has been much, much worse than usual, though.  My husband is convinced it's more than just a little acid reflux.  I don't want to get my hopes up, since so many women struggle with conception.

Is it very often that women get morning sickness within a week after conception?

    No.

If it's too early to test, it's too early for symptoms.

Wow.  That's not a callous response or anything.

Anyway, JennyG-  It probably is just Acid Reflux for those symptoms, but that doesn't mean your not be pregnant.  :)  Give it some time and see if you experience any other symptoms.

    Best of luck!

  • Mine started about 2 weeks after conception.  It was about the same time I started having strange sex dreams and losing my keys.

But not sex dreams where I resulted in lost keys. That's a different problem.

  • haha.  Nice.  I'll be on the lookout for these sex dreams you speak of!

And as far as getting sick, I have a doctor's appt. to discuss whether I need to switch medications if it is only acid reflux.  I'm a little worried about a RX like a Zantac or something, since it's absorbed into the bloodstream.

I was curious since I'd never felt this way before, and I wasn't sure if someone who already has stomach issues could be more easily affected by a slight hormone increase.

    So, I guess we'll see!

(And the earlier post by Dr.Loretta wasn't a big deal, honestly.  I asked, so it didn't offend me.)
