This seems to be talked about alot on the 3rd Trimester Board.  How many girls have had it done and what is your experience?

    I don't remember if they did this to me in the hospital or not, but it sounds horrendous.  I guess it can get things going though.

    I had mine done.  I didn't think it was any worse than a normal cervix check.  I went into labor the next day!

    I had it done twice.  The first one didn't hurt and didn't work.

    The second one was a little more painful and my water broke within 2 hours after this one.

    I had it done. It was a little more painful than a normal cervix check, but rather very uncomfortable then really painful. My water broke/S was born the next day :-)
