How long can breastmilk sit out after being refrigerated?

I have to go in to work for a while today and I can take my baby with me.  I was wondering if I can take one of my refrigerated bottles and leave it at room temp until I need to feed him.  How long can breast milk sit out after being refrigerated?

    According to a book I have at home it can sit out for 8 hours BEFORE you feed them. After a feeding it needs to go in the refrigerator until the next feeding or toss it.

    4 hours is what it says in my breastpump info.  But when it is hot I don't let it sit out even that long.  One time when we were out and about, and I couldn't nurse in public, I feed her colder milk.  Not frozen , but defintely colder than normal, and she was perfectly content.  Not a big deal at all.  But, she is not picky when it come to milk.

    I've read that after it's been refrigerated you can only leave it out for an hour.  So, you're almost better off just leaving it out at room temp because it can sit out much longer.

    Every nurse at the hospital said 1 hour.  That goes for any bottle, because it can create bacteria and make the baby sick.
