Mamas of big babies- How long for Moby?

DS was 9lbs when he was born and growing heavier by the day. I am starting to feel my back hurt in the Moby and I am wondering how much longer we have. He LOVES it and we use it multiple times a day each day, so I am really not looking forward to losing it ='(

I have the Ergo too, just love the Moby when this little.

If you like wrapping, you should definitely try a woven - MUCH more supportive and cooler than the moby (info in my siggy ;-)

My little man is almost 16 lbs and I still find the moby very comfortable. I also have a baby bjorn and that kills my back.

We are 19 lbs now and still love the moby....my man is a chunker!

I used it to about 20 lbs... but if you aren't wanting to do a woven (which are nice) try a mei tai - I found that to be a little more snuggly for a younger baby, but maybe that is because I am a bad wrapper...

my baby is 18 lbs now and he is just starting to get uncomfortable in it. He wiggles around and stretches it out and if I tie it tighter its too tight for me. I'm getting my ergo this weekend but my LO is 5 months (9-3 at birth) so it's lasted us a long time. GL

I used the Moby until 4 or 5 months - can't remember exactly how big DS was, but he was 80% for weight. I did have the Moby D, though, which is not as stretchy as the regular Moby so I think that helped.

DS was 8-15 at birth and we used it until he was about 5 months (~16-17 pounds). I've switched to wovens and love them. If your DS likes the snugglability (yes, I did just make up that word) then I would suggest that. I also have a boba (soft structured carrier) coming to me which I think we will like for when he just wants to be walked around, not necessarily super snuggly and huggy.
