Babies: 9 - 12 Months

Brag about your 8 months old :)

DD is 8 months today!

She is not crawling yet and no teeth but she is interested more in standing and holding on to dear life to anything like the couch cushions or me. She can kind of hold her own bottle, she can find her favorite ball that I hide under her blocks, loves books, can wave but with her full arm - love that!

She can almost do the pincer grab with her fingers and feeds herself sometimes but not all the time. We are working on that :)

Now, your turn, brag about your kid here :)

  • I have a smiley happy beautiful who I miss so much!  I can't to wait to pick him up right now since I just got out of my meeting.

  • Lauren has two teeth.  She has kind of started crawling.  It is more like a crawl with on knee and then shuffle the other leg.  It is so darn cute.  She can say "da-da" and "bye-bye"  But no ma ma yet.  She can drink out of a big girl cup!  (my cup with water in it but she does very well)  She loves to give kisses and even makes the mmmwa sound.  She is pulling up and she loves to dance.
  • Zachary is 8 months today too!  Happy 8 month birthday to your DD :)

I took him in for a weight check today, and he was 14 lbs, 14 oz.  I was hoping he had doubled his birthweight, but he has another 6 oz to go.

He crawled for the first time yesterday - just a little bit, but he did it!  I was so excited I had tears in my eyes.  I can't believe he's so big.  He also pulled himself up from sitting to standing all by himself for the first time this week while he was at his babysitter's house.  I was bummed that I didn't get to see it, but I am so proud of him!

I seriously think that I love him a little more each day.  Being a mommy is the coolest thing ever Big Smile

  • Jaxson can roll like a champ but hasn't started crawling yet.  He does manage to roll enough to get around though.  He can pinch and feed himself pretty well.  He is getting very interested in foods that I eat.  He started saying "dadadada" two weeks ago.  My DH is glowing over that.

Overall, Jax is just such a happy baby.  So sweet and innocent.  I sure do love my little guy!

  • DD has one tooth and doesn't look like she's getting another one anytime soon, she laughs and giggles all day long and claps her hands and then grasps them like she's praying, I love it, she's trying to crawl and just moves around in circles, she still hates purees but loves her mesh feeder, this month I'm going to start more finger foods just to see how she does
  • My DS just turned 8 months too and I love this stage, it is so fun! He is crawling all over and cruising on everything. He wants to walk so badly! He has 4 teeth with 2 more about to pop through (poor little guy has been having a rough time with these ones) He is getting better with his sippy and feeding himself. He's a pretty big boy at 22 lbs and 27 inches, oh and?he says "Mom" pretty frequently now too :-)
  • DS has two bottom teeth.  He's crawling like he's been doing it forever.  He's just starting to try to pull himself up.  He's eating all kinds of finger foods.

The only thing he's not doing is sleeping through the night.  But he's close.

  • She has one tooth and another coming in.  She loves to jump and stand up.  She has mastered spinning on her tummy and rolling to get where she wants to go.  She has the cutest laugh, that she does often.  She's got her daddy wrapped around her little finger...
  • No crawling here either.  He does sit on his own and is standing a little while holding on to me or couch.  He holds his own bottle at daycare, but not for me.  He feeds himself puffs REALLY well and would prefer that to formula/baby food.  No waving yet, we're working on that.  Oh and he can clap and he usually does it when I come to pick him up from daycare- so cute!

  • DD has three teeth and one about to break through.  She rolls like a maniac and just started doing the "army crawl".  My favorite thing she does right now is clapping.  It is so cute!  She babbles constantly and laughs all the time!  She also started initiating play with me, like grabbing my hands and making me clap to do "pattycake" or covering her head with her blanket so I'll say "Where's Chelsea?" and then she yanks off the blanket and I say "There she is!" and she laughs uncontrollably...from the belly.  She is amazing and I cherish every moment with her!

  • Okay, I love bragging about my baby!!!  He is crawling like a mad man, walking holding onto furniture, standing by himself for a few seconds.  He really wants to walk.  He loves his toys and books.  Yesterday, I said "Connor where is your ball?" and he crawled to it and picked it up and then I said "where is your book?" and he went and got a book.  I don't know if it was lucky guessing, or if he really understood what I was saying.  He is still not sttn, but oh well.  We're used to it by now.  He has been saying mama forever and he said dada for the first time tonight.  We're working on waving and clapping.

  • Yeah, I never get to brag.  My DD is crawling all over, pulling up on everything, and she is dancing!  Whenever music is played she shakes her butt (I guess they do copy what they see)Big Smile.  She babbles all day long, but I believe she knows dada, and baba.  She is so happy, and I get a lot of compliments on how laid back she is.  She is also STTN, but wakes up at the crack of dawn.  Sounds like we are all so incredibly fortunate!
