Has theBump slowed down?

To preface, I have become an inconsistent poster since having my daughter.  I was more of a regular when I was pregnant.

I joined thebump back in March of '09 when we started TTC.  It seemed like there were A LOT more posts per day the boards than there are now.  I remember when I missed a day of thebump, there would be like 8 pages of posts on 1st tri. to catch up on and now it seems like there are maybe 2.

Have you girls noticed the same thing?  It just seems like a much smaller group across the boards compared to a year ago.

    Yeah, but I think it's to be expected.  Taking care of a baby takes a lot of time, so it's natural that a lot of people would drop off, especially once that post-partum time is over and real life starts crashing in again.

    It's because the keep spliting up boards. I feel like it's super slow now. Sometimes a hour will go by and there is like 2 post. Plus I'm on the west coast so all the east coaster are going to bed by the time I'm on here.

    That's not what I mean.  Most of the boards have slowed down alot.  I lurk sometimes  and on 1st tri there were only a couple pages of posts today--which seems to be normal lately.  I was just wondering if I was the only one who has noticed.

    That makes alot of sense!  I should've thought about that.  I don't like it.

    Thanks to the board split, 6-9 and 9-12 have become almost unbearably slow.

    Yes things seem really slow lately. I'm also a west coaster and usually get on at night and it seems like it is so slow at night. I used to lurk more than post but now I'm becoming more active just to keep the boards moving a little. I figure if all the lurkers started becoming active maybe the board wouldn't be as slow.
