I would LOVE to go back to my nanny job and be able to take my LO. I will be looking to do this again. I loved my old nanny job, loved the kids and the family. It was awesome... I did it all through college. Now that I am an adult having my own, just a thought, but it would be WONDERFUL to be able to be a nanny and bring my own LO. Not sure why I am posting... unless you need a nanny in the East Bay CA area LOL.... just think I needed to write my thoughts out... perhaps I will change careers again. Insurance brokering is not as fun, that is for sure!

Re: Speaking of Nannies
I was a full time nanny and loved it as well. I still babysit...unusual I know being 30yrs old with a masters degree and a baby on the way, but it brings in a little extra money. Anyway, I am thinking of bringing a baby into our home to care for it or finding a family who will let me take the baby with me. I'm just worried I am going to miss our baby too much, plus with the cost of daycare it's like is it really worth it? So I guess my point is I know where you are coming from.
I was a nanny for 10 years before having DD, and I seriously loved it. I was able to score a job that allowed me to bring DD with me, so I was definitely excited about it. Until about 4 months in. I had DD who was 4 months old and then 7 month old twins.
I wanted to kill myself.
I've thought about trying to find a job where I could bring my child but don't know how it would work, especially since I'd be BFing my child and FFing the other baby. I know if I were hiring a nanny I'd be worried that her child would be getting preferential treatment while I'm paying her to watch MY kid.
The money would be nice tho!
