Kiddie Pools???

My mom got Caroline a little pool.  I had asked for one of those hard plastic ones, but she wasn't able to find any.  So, I told her I had seen some really small inflatable ones at Target.  When she went to look at them, she decided the one I wanted was too small, so she got this bigger giraffe one. (You'll have to click on one of the thumbnails to see the giraffe.) I guess she thinks I'm going to want to get in there with her.  I don't think I will.

I haven't inflated the giraffe, but I feel like it's going to be too big.  I plan on emptying it after each use and refilling it each time we use.  I just think the big one will be a big waste of water, not too mention cumbersome.

Anybody have any similar pools that can make any comments?

    They both look great! I think Caroline would love either one. The spraying part on the smaller one is great, my nephew loved that on his first pool.

    My nephew is a little older then Caroline (well, he'll be 2 in Oct.), but he LOVES swimming. They started with a smaller inflatable pool and now he has a bigger one because he loves to splash, flip all around - basically just move around a lot.

    I'm not a parent, so I guess all I can think of is whatever you feel comfortable with is probably best right now.

    Rowen actually has two that remind me of those.  He has one with a dinosaur that shoots water and one with 2 flowers that shoot water.  They are both on the bigger side.  The dinosaur one is at my parents house and it doesn't get emptied everyday, but he uses it everyday when we are there.  We empty it and move it around the yard as it gets yucky.  The one at our house we empty every time but we don't deflate it.  It is to much of a pain to deflate and re-inflate every time he wants to use it.  I just dump out the water and put it in our garage or on the deck.  I really like them both but Rowen is 4 so he is quite a bit bigger than Caroline and the bigger one (the dinosaur one) my 8 year old nephew usually uses it with him.  I think if we had that one here now I might actually get in it with him I'm so hot and miserable at this point.
