DH and I had the yeah/yay/yea conversation today. In case you are wondering, in my opinion it's:
yeah: slang for "yes"
yay: an exclamation of excitement, wahoo!
yea: an affirmation, as in "yea or nay"
It drives me bonkers on Facebook when someone posts "Yeah!" when something exciting or good happens.
