Breast pump question- anyone else have this problem

I've only used my Madela swing pump twice, but each time, I have found that black marks are appearing in the clear tubing after I wash it.  Anyone had this happen?  Any suggestions?

    Is it possibly mildew?  I don't have the medela swing, I am renting the medela symphony, but I was told not to wash the tubing.  The manual says that if it gets moisture/water in it, to run the pump with nothing attached to dry it out.

    If it's like my Medela PISA you don't have to wash the tubing...no milk comes into contact with it. I just run my pump a few minutes after I'm done to dry any condensation that may have built up while I was pumping. HTH, good luck!
